The presentation will discuss the general steps in preparing for court presentation in child exploitation cases.

Topics for discussion will include:

  • Collecting and carving evidence from confiscated digital media devices
  • Importing carved files into a case for pre-categorization
  • Review of pre-categorized files
  • Categorization of unrecognized (new, previously unknown) files
  • Review of extracted faces from case evidence
  • Creation of reports for court presentation


Mr. Nash has over 40 years of experience working with high technology in engineering, product management, network security, business development, and sales bringing extensive capability in technology management, new product development, training, and marketing. Working mainly in the telecom/datacom arena with BlueBear Law Enforcement Services, EasyLink Networks, RogueData, DragonWave, Aprisma, Telexis, Newbridge, and Mitel Semiconductor Jeff has been responsible for Canadian, North and South American and global sales for products including VoIP, wireless networking, Network Management, Video Surveillance, video compression, visual matching, transmission and storage, digital access and networking.

Current responsibilities at BlueBear include Product Management, Customer Support, and End User Training.

He is a Professional Engineer with a B.E.Sc. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Western Ontario.
